Registered Elevators (How to apply the Elevator module to Airfob Portal)
You can install additional elevator modules to control access to the elevator floor with Airfob reader. Once installed, you need to add elevator information from the Elevator Management > Registered Elevators menu.
What's in this article
1) The overall sequence of settings if you have connected the Elevator module
2) The detailed process of adding an elevator in the Airfob Pro portal
3) The difference between the floor schedule of an elevator setting and the floor level under the Access Management.
Steps of Elevator Modul setting
1. Installation: Connect the Elevator Module and Airfob device.
2. Device registration: Register your Airfob device to the site via the Airfob Pro app.
When registering the device, the Airfob Pro app will display a pop-up about adding doors. Click the green toggle to turn it grey (disable the toggle). This will prevent the door from being automatically added to your site at the same time as you register the device. (Check out the device registration guide)
3. Set up Airfob Portal (1) : Connect the device and the Elevator Module in the Device Management > Registered Devices menu.
4. Set up Airfob Portal (2) : Add elevators from Elevator Management > Registered Elevators menu, and specify each floor and the relay number to which the module is connected.
5. Set up Airfob Portal (3) : [Optional] Create floor levels for each user and floor in Access Management > Floor Levels. (Read the Floor Levels guide)
6. Set up Airfob Portal (4) : [Optional] When modifying an existing user's information or registering a new user, assign the floor level.
How to Add Elevator
If there is a door associated with that Airfob device in the Door Management menu, you will not be able to add it as an elevator device.
When registering a device via the Airfob Pro app, disable the toggle to not create doors while registering the device. If a door has been created, delete the door associated with the device from the Registered Door menu.
1. Go to the Elevator Management > Registered Elevators menu in the Airfob Portal.
2. Click the + Add Elevator button in the top right corner of the screen, and a pop-up will appear.
3. In the Assign Device and Module area, select and enter the items as shown below.
Device: Select the Airfob device which installed in the elevator.
Module: Select the elevator module connected with the Airfob device.
Relay Time out: Enter the time in seconds allowed to press the floor button after authenticating the mobile card to the Airfob device which installed in the elevator. (If you enter 3, the floor button of the elevator must be pressed within 3 seconds after authenticating the mobile card.)
4. In the Floor Configuration area, select and enter as below.
Number of floors: Enter the number of floors of the elevator connected to the elevator module, and click the Apply button.
Floor name: Enter the name or number of floors. (The 'Floor number' is automatically entered according to the number of floors added.)
Relay number: Select the relay number to which the floor is connected to the elevator module.
Schedule: The schedule on which the floor button will be activated. By default, it is always on. If you want to specify a schedule for the floor button to work, click the grey toggle to switch to green and select a schedule.
5. When all entries are complete, click the Save button.
6. You can see the device and module information in the table.
One Elevator Module can be connected to 12 floors of relays. (For example, for a 15 floors building, two Elevator Modules should be installed).
One Airfob device can be connected to 12 Elevator Modules. In total, 144 floors can be controlled by Airfob and elevator modules.
Elevator Floor Schedules & Floor Levels
Elevator Floor Schedule
The Elevator floor schedule means the operating schedule of an elevator's floor buttons. If you apply a schedule in the Elevator Floor settings, it will be automatically reflected for all users. If you don't select a special schedule, the floor button will be active always. (The schedule to be selected must be created in advance in the Access Management > Schedules menu).
Floor levels
A floor level is one of the access levels that can be granted to a user, and can be created in the Access Management > Floor Levels menu. You can assign a floor level when you edit an existing registered user's information or add a new user. If you don't assign a floor level, the elevator floor schedule is automatically applied.
