Registered Doors

Registered Doors

Doors represnet the physical entry points or access points in a building. Each door can have one or more devices installed on it.

After you've finished installing your Airfob devices on the door, you'll need to register the devices on your site using the Airfob Pro app. The Airfob Pro app will display a pop-up where you can choose whether to automatically create doors. If your Airfob devices are typically installed to open and close doors, you can choose to create doors in the Registered Doors menu under the Door Management, and is set up to manage one door and the devices installed on that door as a single door unit.

Newly registered devices need to upgrade to the FW as latest version from the Registered Device menu.
Before setting the Access Levels, you need to add all the doors where the Airfob devices installed.

In this article, you'll learn 1) how to add a door and 2) how to set a schedule for the door to unlock or lock.

How to Add Doors

When you first open a site, the Registered Doors menu is empty. When you initially set up your site, you must add all the doors that have Airfob devices installed.
This is because when you create access levels to assign to users, you'll need to select which of the doors will be allowed to open and close.

If you don't create a door
When you register a device with the Airfob Pro app, you can choose to create a door or not. In the following cases, you should register your device without a door for more convenient management.
  1. Exit devices that authenticate when leaving a space
  2. Devices installed inside an elevator for elevator control

1. Navigate to the Registered Doors menu in the Door Management category.
2. Click the + Add Door button upper right corner of the screen.
3. Once the Add Door panel appears, fill in each field as described below.
Door name*: Name of the door in the space (17th floor office door, 10th floor break room door, etc.)
Description: Enter a description if needed.
Entry device: Select the device installed on the outside of the door.
Exit Device: Select the device installed on the inside of the door.
※ To select the entry and exit device, those must be properly connected to a power source and registered on your site.
SIO2, Door relay, Relay ignoring door sensor, Exit button, Door sensor: Input information may vary depending on the installation environment. Please consult your Airfob supplier.
SIO2 : If you installed an additional SIO2 device.
Door relay : Select the device that the relay is connected to.
Relay ignoring door sensor: In most cases, the relay should be enabled.
Exit Button: If you installed an exit button, select the device it is connected to.
Door sensor: Select the input port connected with the door sensor.
Open Time: Manually enter the amount of time the door stays open.
4. Click the Save button to add the information you entered above.
5. If there are multiple doors with Airfob devices installed, repeat steps 2-4 to register the information of all doors.

If the device doesn't appear as an option.

When one device registered, automatically one door will be created in the Registered Door menu as an Entry device even if it is installed as an exit device. Therefore, if you have two devices installed on the inside and outside of the door, you'll need to take one more step to accurately match the door where the device is installed with exactly which device controls that door.

1. In the Registered Door menu, click the door where the entry device is installed.
2. There is an Edit Door pop-up panel. You'll try to select an Exit device, but it'll not appear as a selection option.
3. Switch off the Edit Door pop-up panel, and find the door created with the Exit device in the list.
4. Click the checkbox to the left of that Exit device, and click the bin icon above the table.
5. The automatically created Exit device door is deleted.
6. Click the door matched with the Entry device again, to display the Edit Door panel.
7. You can successfully select a device from the Exit device.

What is the Unlock and Lock schedules?

This is a feature that allows you to set a door to be completely open and free for anyone to enter, or completely closed and unavailable for any authentication.
You can set a schedule to apply and release the unlock/lock schedules in advance, and it will be automatically applied to the door. Use it to apply the unlock/lock feature to doors on a regular schedule.

Unlock Schedules

The door remains fully open. No authentication is required, such as a mobile card or RFcard, and anyone can enter freely. (Ex. leaving the ground floor entrance door of a public building unlocked during business hours of the day.)

Lock Schedules

The door wil remain completely closed. No matter what method you use to authenticate, such as a mobile card or RF card, no one will be able to open the door.

 1. Click the checkboxes of the devices that needs an unlock or lock schedule.
2. Click the Scheduls setting icon, and the Lock/Unlock Schedule Settings panel appears.
3. Click the button to apply either Unlock or Lock.
4. If there are pre-registered schedules in Access Management > Schedules menu, they will be displayed below. Select the schedule you want to apply.
5. If there is no schedule, click the Create Schedules button to create a schedule (day, time).
6. Click the OK button to apply the modified schedules.
7. The door will automatically remain open or closed on the set schedule, and when the schedule ends, it will immediately switch to the normal state requiring mobile card authentication.
