Contact Method

To use Airfob Space App must choose the contact method between your smartphone and access control device.

1. Bluetooth

There are two options, consider the usability and battery consumption before you choose one.
  1. Only While App is On-Screen: The mobile card is authenticated only when the app screen is open on the smartphone. It helps to use less battery, but you have to turn on the app each time before opening the door.
  2. Background Mode: The mobile card can be used even when the phone screen is off as long as the app is running in the background. It is convenient but increases battery usage a bit more. And if you close the app in the background, you have to turn it on and keep running it again.
If you have an Android smartphone that supports NFC, you can use NFC only or use it simultaneously with Bluetooth. To use NFC and Bluetooth both, click the checkbox for both.

2. NFC

Only Android devices are available to use NFC.

Two-Factor Authentication

To enhance the security level, you can set up two-factor authentication. You can set a PIN number or pattern, depending on your phone model, you may be able to set up biometric authentication (face or fingerprint) after registering a PIN.
In order to use two-factor authentication, you must use the app screen turned on each time you tag your mobile card. Therefore, if you prefer to use background mode, you cannot use two-factor authentication.
★ Please remember, if you forgot your PIN or Pattern you will have to re-install the application and re-download your mobile cards
