Web Cards (QR card, Link card)

Web cards are a feature that allows temporary visitors to open the door with QR codes or temporary link cards on the mobile web without downloading the Airfob Space app.

When adding a new user from the User Management > Users menu, you can choose to issue web cards. And the web cards can also be deleted and issued remotely in real-time.

Web cards cannot be used simultaneously with mobile cards or RF cards.



Web QR cards

A web QR card is a temporary card that generates a QR code in a smartphone web browser and allows users to access your site by authenticating with a QR reader.

You can issue QR cards only if you have installed a QR code reader, and you must complete the site and device settings modifications before you can issue cards to users.

Only master account can enable the QR reader in the Settings > Site menu.


1. Activating QR cards

  1. Log in to the Airfob Pro portal with the site master account.
  2. From the Settings > Site menu, click the Additional Features tab.
  3. Activate QR Reader by turning the toggle to the right of QR Reader to green (only available to master accounts)
  4. Go to the Device Management > Registered Devices menu.
  5. Find the Airfob device you want the QR reader to connect to in the list and click the product name.
  6. In the Edit device information popup, enable the QR reader toggle.
  7. Users who have been issued a QR card will now be able to authenticate access with the QR reader on this device.



2. To issue a QR card

  1. from the User Management > Users menu, click the + Add user button.
  2. Enter user information in Add New user panel.
  3. Check Add Only Web Card.
  4. Select Web QR Card (QR reader must be enabled in the Site menu to select Web QR).
  5. An email invitation to the QR card will be sent to the user at the email address entered.
  6. User need to click the check button in the email and accept the terms and conditions.
  7. When the web QR card is displayed, the user will authenticate the QR card screen to the QR reader upon entry.




※ Notes

  1. the displayed QR card is valid for 5 minutes.
  2. QR reader cannot be used simultaneously with SIO2.
  3. Once a web QR card is issued, the card type cannot be added or modified.



  1. Click the + Add user button in the User Management > Users menu.
  2. In Add New User panel, enter the user's information.
  3. Check Add Only Web Card.
  4. Select Web link card.
  5. An email invitation will be sent to the user at the email address you entered.
  6. User need to click the check button in the email and accept the terms.
  7. The web card displays all doors that can be opened with the access level granted to the user.
  8. Click the Open button to the right of the door name.
