Edit Door (How to set up SIO2)

To increase the level of security in your space, consider adding a compact and powerful addition SIO2 Secure Module to your access control system.
SIO2 Secure Module communicates with the Airfob device using an RS485 cable. Importantly, this communication is encrypted to further bolster security. The SIO2 Secure Module acts as an intermediary between the Airfob reader (device) and the relay.

In this article, you'll find 1) a basic SIO2 setup example video and 2) how to change the door settings in the Airfob Pro portal.

Please refer to the wiring diagrams included in the box with your SIO2 Secure Module for the most accurate and detailed setup instructions. You may need assistance from the person who installed your Airfob device.

How to activate the SIO2 setting in the Airfob Pro portal

Please refer to the wiring diagrams included in the box with your SIO2 Secure Module for the most accurate and detailed setup instructions. The SIO2 installation may vary depending on the installation environment, so be sure to seek help from your local Airfob installer.
If you do not change the settings in the Airfob Pro portal after installing SIO2, it will not work as an Airfob device.

1. Once the Airfob device, SIO2, and door relay have been successfully connected, register the Airfob device on your site via the Airfob Pro app.
2. Access the Airfob Pro portal and check the connection status of the device in the Device Management > Registered Devices menu. *You must see the green circle
3. In the Door Management > Registered Door menu, find the door to which the device is connected. The door is automatically created when you registered device.
4. There will be a pop-up screen where you can turn on the SIO2 toggle in the Assign Devices area to activate it.
5. Next to the Door Relay, select Relay 0. (The SIO2 we supply only has one Door Relay port, so there is only one to select)
6. Next to Door Sensor, select the number of the input port on the SIO2 that the Door Sensor is connected to.
7. If an exit button is connected, to the right of Exit Button, select the number of the input port of the connected SIO2. If you have exit device other than the exit button, select that as Exit Devices above.
8 Click the Save button to reflect your settings, and the SIO2 will work normally.
